General Natynczyk, the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), unveiled his pledge for a new relationship between the Canadian Forces (CF) and military families. The CF Family Covenant, officially signed by the CDS in Ottawa on September 22, demonstrates the CF’s commitment to providing men and women in uniform and their families a quality of life that is equal to their service and daily sacrifices. “We have a moral obligation to families and the CF Family Covenant is a public declaration of that. This is a powerful promise,” said Celine Thompson, Director of Military Family Services (DMFS). “The CF Family Covenant allows CF leadership to formally acknowledge the importance of the support provided by family members to loved ones who serve Canada.” |
