Want to spruce up your wardrobe? Zip over to your local CANEX retail store!

CANEX has teamed up with Roots Canada to create a new line of Canadian Forces (CF) active and casual wear.

The clothing, which was recently introduced at CANEX locations across Canada, consists of popular Roots attire including t-shirts, active wear, polar fleece tops, and tracksuits.

“The new CF Roots products were shipped out to hit our stores for October first,” says Gilles Charlebois, CANEX Category Manager. “We wanted them to be available just in time to kick-off the Christmas shopping season.”

Three separate lines of merchandise have been designed, one for each CF element. The product selections are specific for the bases - Army bases will receive Army Roots product, Air Force wings will receive Air Force Roots product, and Navy bases will receive Navy Roots product. All clothing is available via special order through your CANEX Manager.

“A couple of CANEX stores will carry the entire selection of apparel for each of the three environments,” says Charlebois. “Those stores are located at 5GSS Saint-Jean (Quebec), and CFB Borden (Ontario), the bases with training facilities.”

Clothing items have an official military insignia crest, representing the individual military environment. The colour schemes for the three lines of apparel are similar, and each article bears a red Canadian maple leaf. There are also accessories like backpacks, baseball caps, scarves, and (the ever-popular Canadian favourite) toques.

“The items are very competitively priced,” says Charlebois. “We’ve checked what Roots sells their products for, and our price-points will be below regular Roots wear prices.”

So, what are you waiting for? Head over to your nearest CANEX store and treat yourself to some comfy new threads, or a cozy new CF Roots toque, eh!
