Harley® for Heroes Raffle Rules and Regulations

 

This raffle is open to RESIDENTS of ONTARIO OR VISITORS coming to ONTARIO who have reached the age of majority at the time of entry. Tickets must be purchased within the province of Ontario. Raffle tickets will not knowingly be sold to persons under the age of 18. All ticket sellers are instructed to advise adult ticket purchasers not to write the name of a person under 18 years of age on the ticket. If a winner is under the age of 18, the prize will be awarded to the parent/guardian with notification to the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the draw. All prizes are not taxable. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.

1. To enter, purchase a ticket ($25) at participating outlets in Ontario, read the official raffle rules on the ballot and confirm that you have read and agree to the raffle rules and regulations. Raffle begins on 7 December 2009 0700 Hrs (EST) and ends on 19 March 2010 2359 Hrs (EST). You can only enter the raffle by purchasing a ticket.

2. Neither the Canadian Forces Personnel and Family Support Services (CFPFSS), CANEX nor Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada (collectively, “Raffle Sponsors”) will be responsible for the failure or malfunction of any computer software, hardware or telecommunications equipment affecting participation in or any other aspect of this raffle. All entries become the property of the Raffle Sponsors who assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries during the promotional period. The Raffle Sponsors reserve the right (in their sole discretion) to cancel or suspend this raffle should a cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the raffle. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered, tampered with in any way, mechanically reproduced, or made through any robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry duplication method. By entering this raffle, entrants agree to abide by the raffle rules.

3. Grand Prize: A customized 2009 Harley-Davidson® Road King® motorcycle featuring artwork from Extreme Measures. Retail value (MSLP) of the Grand Prize: estimated to be $50,001 CDN. No Secondary Prizes are provided. The prize is not transferable, substitutable or convertible to cash and must be accepted as awarded. Raffle Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value.

4. All eligible entries must be received on or before the Raffle Closing Date of 19 March 2010 2359 Hrs (EST). On 29 March 2010 at 1201hrs (EST) a random draw will be conducted by an independent judge at the National Defence Headquarters, 101 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, Ontario. The selected entrant will be contacted by phone, e-mail or postal mail. In order to be declared a winner, the selected entrant must first sign a standard declaration of compliance and publicity/liability release confirming compliance with the raffle rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded, consenting to the use of his/her name and photo in any raffle-related publicity, and releasing the Raffle Sponsors from liability in connection with the acceptance and/or use of the prize. By accepting the prize, the winner grants his or her consent to the use of his/her name and/or photographs, without compensation, for advertising or publicity purposes in connection with the raffle. The winner will have twelve (12) months from the date of the draw to claim their prize.

5. Canadian Forces Personnel and Family Support Services (CFPFSS), CANEX or Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada (collectively, “Raffle Sponsors”) employees, agencies, prize suppliers, raffle-judging organization, partners, affiliates or persons with whom any of the foregoing is domiciled including brother, sisters, fathers, mothers or legal or common law spouses and any other individuals with whom any excluded persons resides (collectively, the “Excluded Persons”) are prohibited from participating in this raffle.

6. This raffle is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Raffle Sponsors reserve the right, subject to the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, to terminate this raffle or to amend the raffle rules at any time without notice.

7. All entries become the property of the Canadian Forces Personnel and Family Support Services (CFPFSS). By entering the raffle, each entrant agrees to the potential use of his/her name, address, image in connection with any publicity relating to this raffle. The information on the entry forms will be used to administer this raffle only. 8. The winner will be required to produce identification satisfactory to the Raffle Sponsors. The winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release, including a publicity release, as prepared by the Raffle Sponsors prior to receiving their prize. The winner will be responsible for any licensing, registration and insurance that result from the receipt and/or use of their prize. The Raffle is void where prohibited by law. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate and/or win the Raffle will be disqualified.

9. This raffle shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario.
