The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Distinguished Achievement Award recognizes individuals from the staff of the Non Public Funds who have had a positive and substantial impact, directly or indirectly, on the Canadian Forces or the Canadian Forces community.

Brian Tweedle - CFPSA
Mr. Brian Tweedle, the Director of Merchandising and Marketing, is being recognized for his exceptional leadership in developing and implementing the CANEX "Support Our Troops" program. This initiative was introduced on a trial basis in 2005 and has grown remarkably since then. Its profile is huge, with notables such as the Prime Minister, the Minister of National Defence, the Chief of the Defence Staff and Don Cherry championing the cause.
While the positive impact and great reach of the program are self-evident, Mr. Tweedle is recognized for producing outstanding results, bringing credit to the CF, and creating outstanding relationships with Canadian retailers and the public at large.
