40th Retrospective Contest Rules

• This contest is sponsored by CANEX and is open to all CANEX Authorized Patrons, of at least 18 years of age. 
• There are a total of 5 national prizes to be awarded. The prizes to be awarded are
1st Prize: One Samsung Laundry Pair, approximate retail value $3200;
2nd Prize: One Ripzone/Brooks/Powder Room athletic wear package approximate retail value $3000;
3rd Prize: One Seanix Media Centre computer approximate retail value $1100;
4th Prize: One Hamilton Beach small appliance group approximate retail value $1000;
5th Prize: One Microsoft XBox360 Gaming Package approximate retail value $900.
• The prizes must be accepted as awarded and will be delivered to the winners at CANEX’s expense. The prizes have no cash value and are not reimbursable.
• To enter, fully complete the 40th Retrospective online entry form and submit your story. No purchase is required All stories submitted by CANEX Authorized Patrons will be eligible for the contest.
• All entries must be received online prior to close of business on 1 August 2008. The draw date of the winners of the contest will be on or about 7 August 2008 at CANEX HQ in Ottawa.
• The odds of winning are dependent on the number of entries received online before the contest closes. The contest will be judged by a panel of judges at CANEX HQ in Ottawa. To claim his or her prizes, the winners must correctly answer a timed, mathematical skill-testing question by telephone and must still be a CANEX Authorized Patron on the draw date. The winners will be contacted on or about August 12, 2008.
• Winners must consent to his or her name, photo and voice being used in any publicity surrounding this contest, without compensation.
• All entries become the property of CANEX.
• Management of CANEX as well as any other persons with who they reside, may not participate in the contest.
• CANEX is not responsible for any loss, damage or claims caused by the awarded prizes or the contest itself. By entering, entrants release and hold harmless CANEX, their affiliated and related companies and advertising, promotion agencies and all of their respective directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contestor any prize won.
• All decisions of the contest judges are final and without appeal in all matters relating to this contest and the awarding of the prize. By entering the contest, the entrant automatically agrees to accept and abide by these contest rules and regulations.
